Bibliometric analysis of the graduate and post graduate theses about behavior therapy and behavior modification carried out in Bogotá, Colombia

The objective of this investigation was to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the pre graduate and post graduate theses about behavior therapy and behavior modification, which had been concluded until the year 2003 (included) in the universities of the city of Bogotá (capital of Colombia) that offered the career of Psychology. With this purpose they were analyzed on the basis of the following variables: to) number of theses found per decade, b) theses number for director, c) number of theses for each one of the implemented behavior therapy and modification techniques and programs, d) number of theses for each one of the problems that was approached by these theses, e) theses number per decade corresponding to each one of the implemented techniques and programs and f) theses number per decade belonging to each one of the problems that was approached. In total 119 theses corresponding to eight universities of the city were analyzed, which involved 30 therapeutic techniques or programs and 50 problems approached through this techniques or programs. The results were discussed in terms of the evolution that has exhibited the behavior therapy and behavior modification approach during the studied period.El objetivo de esta investigación fue realizar un análisis bibliométrico de las tesis de pregrado y de postgrado que se habían realizado desde el enfoque de terapia y modificación del comportamiento, en las instituciones de educación superior de Bogotá (capital de Colombia), hasta el año 2003 (incluido). Para ello se analizaron las siguientes variables: a) número de tesis por década, b) número de tesis por director, c) número de tesis por cada una de las técnicas y programas de terapia y modificación del comportamiento implementados, d) número de tesis por cada una de las problemáticas que se abordó en las mismas, e) número de tesis por década correspondiente a cada una de las técnicas implementadas y f) número de tesis por década perteneciente a cada una de las problemáticas que se abordó en dichas tesis. En total se analizaron 119 tesis correspondientes a ocho instituciones de educación superior de la ciudad, entre las cuales se pudieron identificar 30 técnicas o programas terapéuticos pertenecientes al enfoque en cuestión y 50 problemáticas abordadas a través de dichas técnicas o programas. Los resultados se discutieron en términos de la evolución que ha exhibido el enfoque a lo largo del período estudiado

Bibliometric analysis of the dissertations: Physical Education degree?s case of the Universidad Autónoma de Chile

Resumen: La bibliometría es un procedimiento que debido a su aplicación para evaluar el desarrollo científico ha logrado un avance sustantivo durante estos últimos años. El objetivo de la presente investigación es describir la distribución temporal, temática y por profesor guía de las tesis de pregrado defendidas hasta el año 2012 en la carrera de Pedagogía en Educación Física de la Universidad Autónoma de Chile, junto con mostrar su utilidad para evaluar procesos formativos desarrollados en dicha carrera y su relación con los lineamientos de investigación. Para ello, se consideraron todas las tesis de pregrado defendidas en la carrera de Pedagogía en Educación Física entre los años 2007 y 2012. A través de la consulta directa de cada tesis, los datos recolectados fueron: autor/es, año, título de la tesis, sede, profesor guía y disciplina.Abstract: Bibliometrics has achieved a great relevance during the last years because its usefulness for assessing the scientific development. The aim of the present study was to describe the distribution of Physical Education degree?s dissertations presented at the Univer¬sidad Autónoma de Chile until 2012 by year, topic and teacher, as well as to show its usefulness for evaluating the degree?s academic processes and its relation with the research lineaments. Bibliometric analysis of the graduation projects in Electrical Engineering of the University of Costa Rica 1999-2018

El objetivo de esta investigación fue realizar un análisis bibliométrico de los proyectos de graduación de pregrado en la Escuela de Ingeniería Eléctrica de la Universidad de Costa Rica, entre los años 1999 y 2018. El interés principal es desarrollar un análisis descriptivo de la distribución temporal y temática de estos documentos, los cuales se realizan de forma individual por los estudiantes de esta carrera para optar por el título de Bachillerato en Ingeniería Eléctrica. En tal sentido, se analizaron las siguientes variables: a) número de proyectos por quinquenio, b) áreas temáticas, c) número de páginas por documento, d) género de los autores. Se obtuvo un total de 938 documentos, utilizando la información contenida en las bases de datos del Sistema de Bibliotecas, Documentación e Información de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Los resultados se discutieron en términos de la evolución de las variables y temáticas a lo largo de los veinte años del período estudiado. Entre los hallazgos se encuentran la mayor participación de las mujeres y la reducción del tamaño de los documentos en años recientes, así como la constante actualización de las temáticas. Estos resultados son un reflejo de los intereses y áreas activas de esta carrera, por lo que los resultados pueden constituir un indicador de la evolución de la disciplina de Ingeniería Eléctrica en la institución.The purpose of this research was to perform a bibliometric analysis of undergraduate graduation projects at the School of Electrical Engineering of the University of Costa Rica, between the years 1999 and 2018. The main interest is to perform a descriptive analysis of the temporal distribution and thematic areas of these documents, which are carried out individually by the students of this career to opt for the Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. To perform the analysis, the following variables were obtained: a) number of projects per quinquennium, b) thematic areas, c) number of pages per document, d) gender of the authors. In total, 938 documents were analyzed, using the information contained in the databases of the SIBDI system of the University of Costa Rica. The results were discussed in terms of the evolution of the variables and themes throughout the twenty years of the period studied. Among the findings are the greater participation of women in recent years, the reduction of the size of the documents, and the constant updating of the themes. La investigación en el pregrado: evaluación de su calidad a través de las tesis

Objective. The quality of the theses in the Information Sciences career at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas was evaluated. Design/Methodology/Approach. Bibliometric techniques were combined with the documentary analysis. Two criteria were used to evaluate the quality of the theses: (1) the way of executing the research and (2) the topic investigated. A group of 8 indicators was defined, some of bibliometric nature and others of content, referring to the methodologies used in the theses. Results/ Discussion. Regarding the way of executing the research, regular results were obtained given the difficulties in the methodological design of the analyzed theses, the lack of definition of specific techniques in the methods used, and the low co-mentoring of professors from the department. With respect to the topic investigated, the results were regular as well. The main difficulties were concentrated in the parameters of the Price index and the half-life period, where the relevance of the references was not adequate in the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 courses. The most referenced authors of the top 10 belonged to the national context (70%). Conclusions. The total quality of the theses was evaluated of regular, given that of the 13 indicators, 6 were evaluated as regular and bad. The way of executing the research, as an evaluative criterion, presented greater difficulties than the topic investigated. Originality/Value. First approach to the quality of undergraduate research in the Information Sciences career where quantitative and qualitative indicators are combined. The main value lies in the use of the results for future research on quality criteria of research in the academic environment

Estado del arte de los métodos de intervención psicoterapéutico en el tratamiento de la esquizofrenia en Latinoamérica y España desde el año 2007 hasta el año 2017

RESUMEN: El presente escrito es un estado del arte, cuyo objetivo es el realizar una revisión de investigaciones sobre los métodos de intervención psicoterapéuticos en el tratamiento de la esquizofrenia en el periodo 2007-2017, en Latinoamérica y España. Éste estudio hizo uso de una metodología exploratoria-descriptiva, en la cual se analizaron un total de 34 artículos abstraídos de bases de datos como: Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo, Repositorio académico de la Universidad de Chile, entre otras. A partir de los artículos, se elaboraron seis categorías: arteterapia, terapia familiar, terapias sociales-comunitarias, entrenamientos en habilidades sociales, rehabilitación cognitiva y técnicas psicoterapéuticas emergentes. En cada categoría se desarrolló un apartado de apreciaciones conceptuales, antecedentes históricos, eficacia de la técnica y avances de actualidad relacionados con las técnicas de intervención.ABSTRACT: This work is a state of the art, whose objective is to conduct a review of research on psychotherapeutic intervention methods in the treatment of schizophrenia in the period 2007-2017, in Latin America and Spain. This study used an exploratory-descriptive methodology, in which 34 articles abstracted from databases such as: Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo, Academic Repository of the University of Chile, among others, were analyzed. From the articles, six categories were elaborated: art therapy, family therapy, social-community therapies, training in social skills, cognitive rehabilitation and emerging psychotherapeutic techniques. In each category a section of conceptual appraisals, historical background, and efficiency of the technique and current developments related to intervention techniques was developed

Elaboración de una agenda de investigación para terapia ocupacional en salud física 2020.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo construir una agenda de investigación de terapia ocupacional en el campo de salud física del sur occidente colombiano para el año 2020, a través de una metodología cualitativa de tipo exploratorio, para ello se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en bases de datos científicas y revistas indexadas, asimismo se llevaron a cabo entrevistas semiestructuradas a terapeutas ocupacionales que se desempeñan en la actualidad en el área de salud física. La construcción de la agenda permitió identificar aspectos sobre la investigación de terapia ocupacional en el área de salud física que requieren ser fortalecidas mediante trabajo investigativo y la necesidad de incentivar la producción científica en los profesionales que se encuentran en proceso de formación. Por otra parte aportó a consolidar conocimientos propios de la disciplina promoviendo el crecimiento y reconociendo en gran medida el rol del terapeuta ocupacional.PregradoTERAPEUTA OCUPACIONA
